Khoms & Zakat

Due to Covid-19 restrictions the following instructions are being posted on IEC website.

*Instructions for donating Khoms*;
"Khoms will only be accepted via Check. Please follow instructions below;
a) please make your check payable to "I.E.C" and include in the memo field of the check the words "Khoms".
b) please include a note with the check with following information:
- name of Marja'a,
- designation of Khoms amount: Sehme-Sadat, or Sehme-Imam or both,
- a phone contact number and an email address.
c) mail your check to IEC address;

*Instructions for donating Zakat-al-Fitrah*;
"Zakat-al-Fitrah is set at $10 per person (per head) and may be paid via Check. Per person (per head) is defined as each dependent one supports, such as themselves, wife and children. The $10 per head (per person) is based on staple food (rice or wheat flour) and current price of Basmati rice in Orlando.
If check is received by IEC after the day of Eid-al-Fitr please note the disbursement of Zakat-al-Fitrah will not be possible to occur prior to Eid-al-Fitr prayer (as highly recommended) but it will be disbursed after the day of Eid-al-Fitr as Qurbatan Ilallah.

Please follow instructions below to mail the check;
a) please make your check payable to "I.E.C" and include in the memo field of the check the words "Zakat-al-Fitrah".
b) please include a note with the check with following information:
- designation of Zakat amount is for Sehme-Sadat, or Sehme-Non-Sadat,
- a phone contact number and an email address.
c) mail your check to IEC address;
